Whether you're looking to explore or just relax, Antigo and Langlade County, located in the great Wisconsin "Northwoods", offers residents and visitors alike an abundant array of cultural, historical, natural, and recreational options. The true up north tourist destination provides a wide variety of northern Wisconsin recreational opportunities to meet everyone's liking all year long. For good reason, this is why ​Langlade County has been branded the "County of Trails."

Langlade County offers cyclists many different riding options: winding in forest trails, smooth paths through farmlands or relaxing routes around local lakes. For a more physical ride, Langlade County offers several mountain bike trails for you to choose. So what are you waiting for? Check out our train offerings!

Langlade County features over 120 miles of hiking trails at 10 different trail systems including the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and 50 miles of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.  View pristine scenery and abundant wildlife while hiking northern Wisconsin.
Cross country skiing

There are three groomed snowshoe trails in Langlade County, but back-country snowshoeing in Langlade County is truly an experience. Enjoy the 130,000 acres of County forest lands, 50 miles of Langlade County Ice Age Trail, Antigo Single Track Mountain Bike Trail, Game Lake Nature Trail or Jack Lake Mountain Bike Trail.

Snowmobile Trails in Langlade County, are developed and maintained by the Langlade County Forestry and Recreation Department, and 10 different snowmobile clubs in Langlade County. There are over 550 miles of  snowmobile trails. Langlade County has an excellent reputation for trails that are well groomed and marked.  
Geocaching
Geocaching
Geocaching is a worldwide game of hide and seek for caches. There are abundant caches in Langlade County at any given time. You pinpont the location of a cache using a GPS unit, then share the location online. Geocaching sounds easy however it is one thing to find a location on a map it is another thing to actually get to the location in person.
Wolf River rafting
Wolf River
The Wolf River offers diverse sections catering to various recreational activities, notably whitewater paddling and trout fishing.  There are 4 sections that go from calm water to class II rapids. Each of these sections offers unique experiences, from tranquil fishing spots to challenging whitewater rapids, catering to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.

"Lake Lake's Veteran's Memorial Park had something for everyone. A nice sandy beach for swimming, hiking trail that goes around Game Lake, mountain bike trails for the kids, a 18 hole disc golf course and beautiful camping sits. Great summer get away!"
